The MoneyGram ADMT service
MoneyGram ADMT (Account Deposit Money Transfer) is a payment service that enables MoneyGram customers abroad to send money to beneficiaries in Nigeria. A sender initiates the transfer from a point of sale, that is a MoneyGram agent location abroad, and nominates either cash pick-up or direct credit to an account in Nigeria. GTBank lists MoneyGram among its International Money Transfer (IMT) services, describing it as a way to receive money from anywhere in the world in minutes.
Payout options
Remittances sent through MoneyGram are processed in GTBank via three routes. Beneficiaries may collect Naira in cash at a branch, or have the funds deposited into a Naira account held either with GTBank or with another Nigerian bank.
- Naira cash pick-up service in any GTBank branch
- Account deposit into any GTBank Naira account
- Account deposit into any third-party bank Naira account
Requirements for beneficiaries
The service is open to GTBank account holders and to people who do not bank with GTBank. Funds must be sent in the first name and surname exactly as they appear on the beneficiary's account, and account deposits require an active Naira account with a 10-digit NUBAN number. For MoneyGram cash pick-up in Nigeria, the beneficiary must present a valid identity card at the branch.
- Funds sent in the beneficiary's account first name and surname
- Active Naira account with 10-digit NUBAN for account deposits
- Valid ID card required for cash pick-up
- Open to GTBank and non-GTBank account holders
- Beneficiary receives the exact amount sent, without charges
