Apple Arcade — Apple's Game Subscription Service

Apple Arcade is a game subscription service that gives unlimited, uninterrupted access to hundreds of premium games from the App Store, including new releases, award winners and established favourites. All titles are free of advertising and in-app purchases. Games can be played online or offline, and new releases and updates are added regularly. Subscribers find the service through the Apple Arcade icon in the App Store and the Apple Games app.

Every game on Apple Arcade is selected to cover a range of play styles and generations. Categories include action, puzzle, strategy, adventure, simulation, board, card and sports. The catalogue is split between Arcade Originals and App Store Greats, with the full list browsable in the Arcade tab of the App Store and the Games app.

The service includes a personalised feed of curated titles and recommendations based on what a subscriber and their friends play. A library collects every game downloaded from the App Store, so older titles can be revisited. Social features show what friends and family are playing, allow players to join them in games, issue challenges and display achievements on leaderboards, alongside in-game events.

Apple Arcade costs $6.99 per month and can be shared with up to five people at no extra cost through Family Sharing. Three months are offered free with the purchase of a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV 4K or Mac. Subscribers can also get the service as part of Apple One, which bundles up to six Apple subscriptions for one monthly price, with a one-month free trial.
