DigitalOcean GPU Droplets provide virtualised GPU instances for training, fine-tuning, inference, rendering, 3D modelling and media workloads, with AMD Instinct MI350X and NVIDIA HGX B300 among the listed GPU models. Bare Metal GPUs offer isolated hardware without virtualisation for consistent, customisable environments suited to demanding AI training, inference or HPC tasks. The two options differ in that GPU Droplets share infrastructure while Bare Metal GPUs are dedicated machines.

DigitalOcean App Platform is a fully managed Platform-as-a-Service for building, deploying and scaling web applications, APIs and static sites. Applications can be deployed directly from source code, from a user-supplied Dockerfile or from a pre-built container image, and monorepo or multi-repository projects can be split into separate components within a single app. The product also supports Node.js deployments alongside Droplets, and DigitalOcean positions it as an alternative for PaaS and managed container orchestration use cases.

DigitalOcean Functions is a serverless computing product that runs code on demand, removing the need to provision or maintain servers. Functions are invoked in response to web events, scale up and down automatically without pre-provisioned resources, and are billed only while resources are active. They can be developed locally, live-previewed, and added as components of an app deployed through App Platform, including alongside a managed database.

DigitalOcean Knowledge Bases is a fully managed Retrieval-Augmented Generation service that handles ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector storage, retrieval and reranking in one system, so no separate vector database is required. It supports hybrid search, metadata filtering, opt-in reranking, and a built-in Playground for testing retrieval quality and LLM outputs before shipping. Knowledge bases connect to DigitalOcean AI Agents or any MCP-compatible agent without custom connectors, and can be isolated per customer or project. Stated uses include agent memory, internal knowledge retrieval, support assistants and compliance document analysis.
