The 2026 event focuses on building the advanced infrastructure needed to power today's sophisticated AI models, covering scalable, high-performance computing systems tailored to machine learning workloads. It also examines how AI itself is being used to design, operate and optimise large-scale systems.

MobileConfig is a cross-platform configuration-management system that developers use to manage configuration values and distribute them to mobile clients. It has been in production since 2015 and supplies configuration values to some of the world's most widely used applications.

MobileConfig uses a client-server pull model, fetching fresh values from the server when the application starts and periodically throughout a session. The server generates values through an "evaluation" process based on client context and the backend tools assigned to each parameter, such as Gatekeeper feature flags or Quick Experiment A/B tests.

Conveyor is Facebook's unified continuous deployment system, handling over 100,000 deployments a week across a diverse range of services. Each code version moves through a pipeline as a "bundle" via nodes such as Build, Canary and Push, which incrementally deploys the binary to production.

FlightTracker is a set of APIs and services that manage consistency across Facebook's social graph, providing uniform Read-Your-Writes guarantees for both TAO and global secondary indexes. It operates independently of the data stores, simplifying services while preserving efficiency, latency and availability.

Semantic Replication saves over 30% of Facebook's video storage by reducing the number of copies kept, with around 35% savings seen in practice. Videos are stored in Everstore, Facebook's BLOB storage system.
