The cloud native landscape organises all cloud native open source projects and proprietary products into categories, providing an overview of the ecosystem. It is managed on GitHub with contributions from the community. The landscape sits alongside other CNCF tools and resources, including the Cloud Native Glossary, the Maturity Model, the Cloud Native Architecture site, DevStats and Artifact Hub. Member organisations may have their company logo displayed on the CNCF website and the interactive landscape.

Kubernetes and other hosted projects

As part of the Linux Foundation, CNCF provides support, oversight and direction for fast-growing cloud native projects, including Kubernetes, Envoy and Prometheus. The foundation hosts 228 projects, comprising 39 graduated, 38 incubating and 151 sandbox projects, with 334K contributors making 22.3M contributions across 193 countries. Developers can move from using open source to shaping projects such as Kubernetes, Helm and Prometheus. Contributors can get started with CNCF's hosted projects through community-maintained contributor resources on GitHub, and CloTributor is suggested as a place to start contributing.

Kubernetes training and service provider programmes

CNCF recognises a select group of Kubernetes Training Partners (KTP), a tier of vetted training providers with experience in cloud native technology training. All KTPs have access to the CNCF Authorized Kubernetes Training Curriculum, which has been open sourced by CNCF and maps to the Kubernetes certification exams; many also offer additional classes on Kubernetes and other CNCF projects. The Kubernetes Certified Service Provider (KCSP) programme is a pre-qualified tier of vetted service providers offering Kubernetes support, consulting, professional services and training. Members receive discounts on CNCF and Linux Foundation certifications such as CKA and CKAD, along with LF Education coupons.
